Wyre Forest District Council in Worcestershire has launched a new scheme to provide grants to the over 60s to fully fund cavity wall insulations and loft insulation projects. Previously, only grants issued to occupants over the age of 70 covered 100% of the cost for insulation projects.
Both cavity wall insulation and loft insulation can reduce carbon dioxide emissions from houses and save on energy bills. They are proven methods of increasing home energy efficiency and will help with homes achieving a greater grade in Energy Performance Certificates.
This offer is part of the council’s desire to lower carbon dioxide emissions and help make the region more energy efficient. These cavity wall insulation and loft insulation grants will be granted on a first come, first served basis, so you have to be quick!

Not over 60? Then do not worry as grants are available for everyone and will usually cover over 50% of the cost for both cavity wall insulation and loft insulation.
